Description
An exhibition catalogue of Juergen Teller’s work to accompany his first major exhibition in France at Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain in Paris in 2006. Famed for his unvarnished, gritty editorials published in magazines like i-D and The Face during the 90s, Teller was partly responsible for ushering in a new aesthetic era of realism in fashion photography that went against the previous gloss and glamour of the 80s. Featuring the iconic 1998 image of a pink-haired Kate Moss in bed on its cover, Do You Know What I Mean surveys Teller’s early career alongside two of his more contemporary series, Nürnberg and Ed in Japan. The book also features a short story by Marie Darrieussecq and a conversation with actress Isabelle Huppert.
